Biography
Alfred Patton was born in 1820. He was the son of Richard Patton and Anna Lane. He married Priscilla Thomas Ingram on 25 Feb 1847, and they had four known children: Daniel Thomas, Mary Anna, Richard Trevanion, and Henry William,. He was a doctor and served as a surgeon in the Mexican War and the US Civil War. He became financially well-off and commissioned the painter Calvin Lemuel Hoole to paint scenes from his family history. Alfred died in 1885.
