The view from the office today. I’m still in awe of these machines after all these years. I’m loving my Virgin Atlantic experience so far - being part of a dynamic team, who go above and beyond everyday and being part of this iconic brand, is something I’m very proud of. Last week, a few of my team said that they feel the difference having me as their manager & they felt cared for - this was so lovely to hear and even after a short time in role, I’m already making a difference. It’s easy to make a difference, when you love what you do. 👠👠❤️✈️

Last Friday I had my uniform fitting for when I fly in rank with my team. Since joining Virgin Atlantic at the start of the month, I’ve felt so welcomed and feel valued for the experience I bring and the value I add to the CPM team. After my Dad passed away in February, I made the decision that life is too short to not enjoy what you do & put so many things into perspective. I felt that I was not in control of my career and now I feel totally in control & being back in aviation has cemented my belief that this industry is where my passion is and where I can be the best version of me. I’m looking forward to the opportunities and challenges my new role holds. I know my Dad would be very proud of me that I was brave and done something that made me happy.My brave decision to take control, also inspired a family member to make a decision about her career & made a change that made her happy. Life is too short to be unhappy! Be brave, be bold, be you! ❤️

Today is my last day with TUI before I start my new role as Operations Manager at Ethos Farm on behalf of Luton DART. I’ve got some amazing memories from my 2.5 years at TUI and worked with some great people. I’m leaving with positive thoughts as I know that I done a good job, put people and the customer at the heart of everything I done and made an impactful and positive difference to the Birmingham base and the wonderful team there.I have loved developing my team to the best that they can be whilst always pushing them outside of their comfort zone (as that’s where the magic happens). Seeing people grow and enabling them to realise their potential, for me, is what it means to be a leader. Leaders shouldn’t be afraid of talent within their team, they should develop and encourage personal and professional growth. I’ve had the pleasure of leading a truly wonderful management team at BHX; Andrew, Claire and Tahira have been incredibly supportive, delivered amazing results and done it all with passion. I’m so proud that Andrew will now lead the team through another period of growth for S24 and I know he will do a great job. Claire and Tahira will continue to be wonderful and grow in their roles and I know that they’ll fully support Andrew, just as they done with me. The wonderful multi skilled crew, Kim, Jay, Steve, Portia, Dans and Claire have also contributed to the success of BHX and I’m so proud to see them grow and I’m pleased to have been part of their development and growth journey. Lastly, my wonderful and amazing manager Sue - words can’t describe how much I’ve valued our relationship and how much support and care you’ve shown. Your passion and dedication to your role, TUI and your team is faultless. I felt like I’d known you for years, and I’ll miss sending 100 GIF’s a day to each other 😂. You have been and still are a wonderful human being - keep being you and never let anyone dull your sparkle. Wishing TUI and BHX continued success. ✈️💙
